Aika's place
Well Aika has her own place and thus technically doesn't live with the Da Luca's but I figured showing how her place looks anyway.
The living room:
The bedroom (but, again, with the same wooden floor):

Re: Aika's place
hmm found a picture for the living room but it might change... if I find a better one ^^
Re: Aika's place
pftt I'm too lazy to continue looking for another pic. I've seen about twenty pages (on google) of interior design photo's but a lot of stuff is really modern... I don't like that modern stuff, I prefer a warmer interior, with warm colors and wood ^^
Re: Aika's place
yeah me too. I actually like really antique looking stuff and of course wood floors!

Re: Aika's place
((RP world starts here >> ...I got bored XD))
Aika sighed as she sat down on one of the boxes that were scattered around her new living room. After her little chat with Sile Da Luca she had made an appointment with her real estate agent to find herself a new place. How big the place was didn't really matter as long as it had a view on the beach and had a garden.
She still owned her apartment... it was always ideal to have a second home somewhere else in town.
"So what do you think guys? Are you going to like it here?" Aika asked while looking at her cats that were attacking her feet (and each other). She got a choir of purrs in response.
She stood up and opened one of the boxes, taking out a certain item. She walked to one of the walls where she noticed a nail had been left behind.
"Home sweet home, I guess." She mumbled as she stared at the old family picture.

Re: Aika's place
Maddalena. also known as Maddie to some, stared at the residence infront of her. "This must be the place.' She heft the large suitcase up the walk way and knocked sharply on the door. Aika will be so surprised to see me. As the door opened the older woman put a smile on her face. "Sorellina ho perso vi*"

"Che sulla terra lei fa qui*?" Aika said, slightly pushing her older sister away. "Does your husband approve of you traveling alone?"

Re: Aika's place
Maddalena let out a soft sigh and set her unoccupied hand on her hip. "Haven't you read any of the letters I've sent you? I am no longer married to that man." Obviously his name was forbidden. "We got divorced about two years ago, he had 'fallen in love' with someone else."

Re: Aika's place
"Lena... you used my real name, didn't you? I haven't received a single letter since I moved to Japan." Aika asked softly while quickly picking one of her cats up and walking back to the living room. "Please step inside and close the door. They still have to get used to the place and if they get out now they might run away."
Re: Aika's place
Maddalena smiled to herself as she pulled her bag through the door and shut it behind her. "You just moved in here recently correct?" She scanned the room of scattered boxes and un placed furniture. "I bet the view is fantastic." She set her coat on her bag and approached her little sister. "I have missed you, That douche of a man had made it so that any contact with the outside family was impossible. Irritating prick." She wrapped her arms lovingly around her sister's shoulders. "I'm sorry I haven't been able to be there for you these hard years."

Re: Aika's place
A sad smile appeared on Aika's face as she rested her head against her sister's shoulders.
"It's okay... father should have never given your hand to that guy in the first place. Never did like him."
Aika sighed as she turned to the family photo once more.
"No malato dei morti*... isn't that what father always taught us?"
((*No ill about the dead))

Re: Aika's place
A soft tinkling of a laugh spilled over her lips as she shook her head. "Yes, it was never Father's fault though, things happen and we must make sacrifices for the ones we love." She paused to glance at the picture as well.

Re: Aika's place
Aika shook her head as she continued with opening boxes.
"You are staying here, right?" Aika asked. "Now that I've moved I've got so many rooms I don't even know what to make of all of them... I could make a dance room, a reading room, a study room and still have four bedrooms left. Excluding the standard rooms like the living room, kitchen and bathrooms."

Re: Aika's place
"If it's alright I would love to stay here with you." She picked up her suitcase and jacket once more and waited for her sister to lead her to an empty room. "This place is large but not too much so, it still has that comfortable feeling." She smiled to herself as she put her stuff down against a wall in the room her sister had chosen for her. "The walls are white..."

Re: Aika's place
"Yes they are... it's one of the things I liked about this place. When I got my apartment it took me forever to get rid of the neon colored walls... I never knew hippies still existed these days." Aika said as she walked to the balcony. "Hope you like ocean view... and I guess I don't mind if you make this room a bit more you... just ask me before you start the painting and all."
Re: Aika's place
"Of course." She looked out the open balcony doors and smiled softly. "It's beautiful. Thank you." She picked up her suitcase and placed it on the empty bed. "I guess I will need to go out and buy sheets and blankets won't I?"

Re: Aika's place
"Linen closet, end of the hallway. Sometimes I seriously wonder why I have so much stuff. I blame nonna... remember when we were still kids how we always played in the attic, where she kept all kinds of stuff?" Aika said smiling.
Re: Aika's place
"Great." She opened her bag and pulled out her clothes placing them neatly on the bed. "I remember making forts out of her handmade linens that she always used for holidays."

Re: Aika's place
"I remember how I accidentally locked you up in that closet and father and nonno had to search the entire attic for the stupid key. The attic never looked so clean and it wasn't until they finished that nonna remembered she kept the key in the drawer of her nightstand."
Aika smiled when she saw a familiar stuffed animal in her sister's suitcase.
"You still got her, huh?"

Re: Aika's place
"I remember that as well but that wasn't the only time you locked me in there. I remember stealing your share of the extra pie dough Nonna had made and you chased me in there." She let out a loud laugh before she gazed down at the stuffed dog. "Yeah I do, was my favorite after all." ((oops forgot I had given her a color))
((lol I sleep with a stuffed dog now..James laughs at me. It's new though I used to have a stuffed cat that was my mom's))

Re: Aika's place
"Mimi's still sitting on the big chair I have in my room." Aika said, talking about the doll she had gotten for her sixth birthday. "Though I gave her a new dress cause the other one had mysterious stains on it."
((Hmm I have a stuffed sheep but it's next to my bed instead of inside my bed... when I was younger I had a stuffed dog too but at a certain point I was sure the thing gave me nightmares. Whenever I took it to bed I had nightmares and when I didn't I was free of nightmares o_O ...I had a bewitched toy xD))

Re: Aika's place
"I see. So I have heard a bit about your new job for the Da Luca family. How is that going?" She was glad her younger sister wasn't alone on her job anymore.
