Paige just kept Belphegor's [insert random eye colour that suits him here] gaze with her own dark chocolate one. "Bel...there are people who are much more worth saving than me..." She wanted to break the eye contact between them but there was something about the look in his eyes that kept her from doing so.

"Haven't you ever read a fairytale?" He chuckled, his signature grin appearing. "The prince has to save his princess. Period. He doesn't do it because its he's told to nor does he do it out of the goodness in his heart."

One of Bel's hands went to her waist, pulling her closer to him.

"He does it just so he can hold her smiling, grateful in his arms, if only for a moment that he'd cherish forever."

The closes didn't bother her, actually, in some way, it was comforting and she felt safe there. "I've never understood fairytales...." There was a slight laugh that came from the brunette.

"Well then, this works in my favor, no? Because let me tell you, Princess," He started, his lips pulling closer and closer to hers with every word. "The best part is when the Princess kisses her Prince and everyone thinks its the end of the story,"

His lips--just slightly brush against hers but not quite--pull into a small smirk. "But it's only the beginning~"

"I understand that but I don't get why they make it 'Happily Ever After' because there's no such thing. The part of the story they don't show is how in the real end, everything goes completely wrong and one of the two gets everything taken from them." Surprisingly enough to the girl, Paige wanted more than for Bel's lips just to graze her own.

"It's called 'Happily Ever After' because fairytales only highlight the good parts of the story. There is a struggle unmentioned and the loss before the gain ignored but it still happens." He whispered into her lips.

"You have to understand, dear Princess, love is by no means the perfect picture painted out in fairytales. It's human, flawed and sometimes broken. That, however, doesn't stop it from being beautiful." He uttered before crashing his lips fiercely into hers, trying to get his point across by physical means.

Though most would be shocked by the sudden actions at this point, Paige was not and she let her lips move of their own accord, kissing him back as her eyes drifted closed.

Half-lidded eyes stared up at Bel as Paige answered. "It's a start." A small smiled formed on her face.

Bel grinned. "Well then, shall I kiss you again?" He asked, pecking her lips. "Third time for a charm~?" Another peck.

"And let me give you one for good luck," This time when he kissed it it was no peck. No siree it was a long, exaggerated kiss made to last.

Paige kissed him back as she had before, but this time her arms decided to go up and around his neck, sitting there ever-so-lightly.

Paige too looked to the bag of knives and knew that she'd have a hard time with the obstacle, as Bel had put it.
